How do I stop the backlit keyboard on my HP Pavilion 15-eg3045cl from timing out after only 30 seconds?

 

SOLVED: you can change the timeout settings in the BIOS. Here are the general steps to do this: Restart your laptop and press the F10 key repeatedly until the BIOS opens. Use the arrow keys to navigate to  ‘Configuration’ and then press Enter. Select 'Backlit keyboard timeout. Press the spacebar to open the keyboard backlight settings. Select the timeout setting you want, 30 seconds, 3 minutes or never.
