Product: Envy 360

I currently have the HP Envy x360 running in Windows 10 Home, which, according to the HP website, should be compatible with the HP Pen. However, the stylus on the pen does not register any touch on the laptop and the HP Pen Control app seems to be "incompatible" with my device even though it appears to meet the requirements. How do I get this pen to connect to my laptop, or do I really have to buy a whole different pen??
