How to daisy-chain two external monitors to a notebook
03-06-2021 08:24 AM - edited 03-06-2021 08:27 AM

Hello. I know that extending multiple external monitors requires DP ports between the monitors. I'm not grasping how the G6 Thunderbolt accomplishes this in lieu of a DP on the notebook. My ideal solution is to route my video signal through a HDMI-KVM switch (Avetom) in order to toggle my dual external monitors between two notebooks. Your guidance is appreciated.

You have to use USB-C monitors, you can connect the first one to your machine and the second one to the first one USB-C monitors should have port in and port out.
Host ------> first monitor ------> second monitor -----> third monitor (only limit by resolution/refresh rates).
Using DP port, you can also daisy chain monitors
Regards.
