7BG89UP#ABA
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, I'm a newbie.

I 've just bought a laptop HP elitebook x360 1040 G5 . My product number is 7BG89UP#ABA . I bought from a small business in Vietnam. It's a like new 98% laptop, not newbox.

I want to know about what option of my laptop dislay monitor, how much brightness of my specification laptop.

It's not bright as good as my old Dell laptop. At the same brightness adjustment 60%, my HP elitebook monitor is darker and dim, opposite with another one. I have a little bit disapointed, I think it has at least 400 nits brightness like I see on HP mannual file about this model.

I check at device manager, display hardware Id is MONITOR\IVO057F, the monitor is the matte option and has sure view filter on F2 button. It will turn to white when I look at other angles not at the center.

I hope someone could help me. Many thank you

  • 14.0-inch, FHD (1920×1080), AntiGlare, WLED, UWVA, 72, 400 nits, eDP+PSR, ultraslim TouchScreen display assembly
  • 14.0-inch, FHD (1920×1080), BrightView, WLED, UWVA, 72, 400 nits, eDP+PSR, ultraslim TouchScreen display assembly

Your machine use part # 5TL97AV which is  14 FHD AG LED UWVA 700 fWWAN uslimTSPVCY which probably is the one in red above.

Because it has privacy option therefore the view angle smaller, I believe you can switch ON/OFF this feature. Please try
