Pavilion Notebook
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have to disable the touchpad or clickpad on a daily basis, because even though I disable it every day, it is back on the next morning with the power.  I tried to get rid of it by uninstalling Synaptic devices, but then I couldn't even disable it and it was on all the time.  So, I reinstalled Synaptics and am back to going through the disabling process every single day.  Is there no way at all to simply turn off the touchpad forever????

Welcome to HP support community.

Follow the below steps to disable the touchpad.

  1. Click Start , and then type mouse in the search field.
  2. Click Change your mouse settings.
  3. Click Additional mouse options.
  4. In Mouse Properties, click the TouchPad tab. ...
  5. Uncheck Double Tap to Enable or Disable TouchPad. ...
  6. Click Apply, and then click OK.

I hope that helps.
