@MHNosrati,

A warm welcome to the Hp community and a good day to you. I will be delighted to assist you here.

  • Is this a recent occurrence?
  • Was it working correctly before?
  • Was there a power outage or surge sometime in the recent past?
  • Did it occur after a recent software or windows update?

Let's try these steps:

  • Right-Click on start button> click device manager> expand display adapters>then select the display drivers that are listed and right-click on it and uninstall the drivers.
  • Check the box that states delete the software for this device.
  • Then restart the computer and update the bios chipset and graphics drivers from this link: http://hp.com/drivers  Select the country and type the product# of the unit. Then follow the onscreen instructions.

Then from this link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c03048374 (HP Notebook PCs - Switchable Graphics on Notebooks Configured with Intel and ATI GPUs)

Good luck and keep me posted about the developments. If this helps, please mark this as “Accepted Solution” as it will help several others with the same issue and give the post a Kudos for my efforts to help. Thank you and have a great week ahead. 🙂

I am the Echo_Lake  looks like you were interacting with @DavidSMP, but he is out of the office today, so I'll take over from here.

I appreciate your efforts to try and resolve the issue. This looks like it’s an issue with the switching graphics cards settings.

Let's try these settings and check:

  • Install the latest AMD Crimson Driver. By using auto detect utility the software will download the most appropriate driver automatically.
  • Right click on your desktop and select Graphics Properties. This will open the Intel Graphics and Media Control Panel. Click on Advanced Mode and OK.
  • Once the options menu pops out, select the game you want to run on AMD card
  • Note: if the games or application is not listed you can browse it manually.
  • Next, set the application to High-performance Click OK.

Keep me posted for further assistance.

If I have helped you resolve the issue, feel free to give me a virtual high-five by clicking the 'Thumbs Up' icon below,

Followed by clicking on "Accept as solution" from the drop-down menu on the upper right corner,

Thank you for posting in the HP Support Forum.  Have a great day!
