Hp omen 15-dc0129tx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have successfully extended  my laptops display to an external monitor using the thunderbolt 3 port via TB3 to HDMI adapter (conclusion, my TB3/USB 3.1 port works)

But when i connect my Omen GA1-1000 eGPU to the Omen 15 laptop, nothing happens

I have downloaded my installed every updates for my laptop via HP Support Assistant already

as well as

I have watched and installed drivers from this video link posted below.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W58OQMtSexI&t=9s

only up until 2mins 39seconds . where my laptop does not detect a new thunderbolt device.

any thoughts guys, Thanks in advance

P.S. I add that I successfully use the Omen eGPU on my MBPR with Touchbar (OS Mojave).

I appreciate the reply Sir Banhien

Sorry that I have failed to mention that I have seen and followed the steps previously too.

But just to be sure, I did fresh Windows install from a recovery and did the FF all over again (2nd time around)

Steps 1-6. Done (either I have installed previously or I have a more updated driver installed already via updates.

Step 7. GPU driver would not install as GPU isn't detected (note that Step 5 was already accomplished, eGPU is powered up and connected via Thunderbolt cable).

Step 8. I proceeded to install Accelerator app

Step 9. Firmware update failed. ( I guess because of the absence of the eGPU).

It is frustrating that the HP Omen eGPU is failing on an HP Omen Laptop. Whilst my experience with the Omen eGPU was pain free on the MBPR.

hope to hear again from you sir and from other people out there who had the same problem and or ideas too re: my hardware problem

best regards to all.
