Hi @Peckhamite53 ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand the camera on your HP Spectre x360 running Windows 11 isn't working, there are several steps you can try to troubleshoot and fix the issue:
1. Check Camera Privacy Settings:
- Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Camera.
- Make sure the Camera access and Let apps access your camera options are enabled.
- Scroll down to ensure the specific app you're trying to use has permission to access the camera.
2. Check Camera Hardware:
- Press Fn + F12 or the dedicated camera button on your keyboard to toggle the camera on and off.
- Make sure the camera shutter (if applicable) is open.
3. Update Camera Driver:
- Right-click the Start button and select Device Manager.
- Expand Cameras or Imaging devices.
- Right-click on your camera (e.g., HP Wide Vision FHD Camera) and select Update driver.
- Choose Search automatically for updated driver software.
- If no update is found, go to HP's support website and search for the latest drivers for your model.
4. Reinstall Camera Driver:
- In Device Manager, right-click your camera and choose Uninstall device.
- Restart your computer, and Windows should reinstall the camera driver automatically.
5. Check for Windows Updates:
- Go to Settings > Windows Update and check for any pending updates. Installing updates may fix any bugs affecting the camera.
6. Run the Windows Camera Troubleshooter:
- Go to Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters.
- Find Camera and run the troubleshooter to detect and fix issues.
7. Test in Another App:
- Try using the camera in another app like Microsoft Teams, Skype, or Camera (the default app) to see if the problem is with the app or the camera itself.
8. Check Antivirus Settings:
- Some antivirus programs may block access to your camera. Check the settings in your antivirus software to ensure the camera isn't being blocked.

I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
