Hi everyone,
I have an HP Victus laptop, and recently I started experiencing a screen issue. After a recent Windows update, I noticed that when I open or close the lid, the screen sometimes goes black or flickers. I have to adjust the screen to a specific angle or apply slight pressure from the back of the screen to make the display work again.
It feels like there might be a loose or faulty LVDS cable, but I'm not 100% sure. This issue started suddenly in the morning after an update, and now it happens every time I open the laptop.
When I connect an external monitor, everything works perfectly and I get a stable image there, so the issue seems to be with the internal display or its connection.
Could it be related to the update or is it more likely a hardware (cable) issue?
Any advice or similar experiences would be appreciated.
Thanks!

@YağızUzo, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
Given that applying pressure on the back of the screen or adjusting the angle temporarily fixes the issue, it suggests that there could be a loose or damaged LVDS cable or a related connector.
Check for Loose Connections: If you're comfortable opening up the laptop, you could try carefully checking the internal connections. However, this can be tricky, and you may need to remove the screen bezel to access the connections.
I suggest you reach out to the nearest HP Authorized Service Center for personalized assistance. They can provide one-on-one help to fix the problem.
Note: There might be a nominal charge for the service they provide.
