HP ENVY x360 Laptop - 13-ay0008na
Microsoft Windows 11

I have an HP Envy 13-inch laptop.  Both the left/right-side hinges are loose/broken and the screen and keyboard are separating from each other with wires the only thing currently holding them together.  The system still operates and there doesn't appear to be any damage to the display itself.  Is there a fix for this?  Out of warranty.  Thank you

My HP ENVY X360 -15M-BP112DX right hinge broke, and corner is bulging. This is major inconvenience and disappointment considering the money I spent on this laptop. I’ve never dropped my laptop, nor has it fallen. This just happened out of the blue last week.  When I open and close the laptop the hinge is shifting and separating the lower case from the upper case. The screw from the lower case keeps falling out and I am not able to close and open the laptop properly. I’ve had my paralegal do some extensive research and found out HP is aware of this design flaw, yet they expect the consumer to pay for the expensive repair.  My warranty has expired. I’m in desperate need of some assistance with this matter.

Your prompt attention is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

no - they reviewed my damage and gave me a quote - Not worth repairing it, Better to get a new one and avoid similar design flaw (i.e. poor hinges/screen)

Horrible clearly there is an issue.

yeah - there is a design flaw with the hinges / the bit that covers it. However, it would make sense for you to speak to them and let them review the damage. Your damage may not be as bad as mine
