HP Pavilion Laptop PC 14-dv0000 (9WF42AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

I am trying to connect an HP Pavilion 14-DV0058TU - i7 laptop (Windows 11) with a Dell P2422HE external monitor. I am using the USB-C, the cable that was bundled with the monitor, but when I connect it, the monitor shows "no signal" and it does not work. I tried with an HDMI cable with the same PC and it worked instantly. I have also tried using a different laptop (Dell latitude 7490) with the same USB C cable and then it also worked instantly.

I guess there is some issue with the new Pavilion laptop (or Win 11), but when I check the specifications it says the following:

"1 SuperSpeed USB Type-C® 10 Gbit/s signalfrekvens (USB-ström, DisplayPort™ 1.4, HP Sleep and Charge"

What could be the problem?

@P2422HE -- is this your Dell monitor: Dell 24 USB-C Hub Monitor - P2422HE | Dell Canada

It has both HDMI & DisplayPort video-input.

So, on the monitor's OSD (On Screen Display) you must select which of the available inputs that the monitor is to process.

Because the HDMI cable worked instantly, it seems that the monitor is "listening" to the HDMI input, not to either of the other inputs.

Is the monitor's feature: USB 3.2 Gen 1/USB-C hub, USB PD 65 Watt

present to allow USB devices (printer, keyboard, mouse, webcamera) to connect to the monitor, and to transmit signals from your device to your computer? Or, also to receive video-signals from your computer?

I was already using the USB C for display output in Lenovo l27m-28 Monitor but it won't work with Dell p2422HE.

Here, I provide video demonstration for your reference.
