i get error code Windows Camera app error code 0xA00F4244 when I try to access the hp built in camera thru windows camera app. The webcam used to show up in device manager, but I accedentailly deleted the device instead of trying to update driver. I have scanned for hardware changes but it does not see the built in webcam. Thinking that maybe the webcam itself was damaged, I purchased a new built in webcam chip and installed it into my notebook. Still nothing. The mic works and it's part of the same board. Any suggestions?

Hello @drubixcube
Well, we are going step by step ...
(1) Turn off the computer and wait five seconds
(2) Turn on the computer, and then immediately press the [ESC] key repeatedly until the Startup Menu opens
(3) Press [F10] to open the BIOS Setup Utility
(4) Check all BIOS settings, camera should be <enabled>
Something like this
BIOS -> Advanced -> Build-In Device Options
[x] Integrated Camera
