Microsoft Windows 11
Hi, I recently tried using a USB-C hub that has HDMI output (confirmed to work on a macbook), but neither my laptop nor the projector detected anything. Is this because my USB-C port doesn't support DP Alt mode? Also I haven't tried an actual DP cable yet, looking forward to hook up a monitor to my system. Best regards

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook:

According to chapters 1 and 2 of the manual, the two USB-C ports should support video out.

The one that is identified as a Thunderbolt port is probably your best option if you are connecting a USB-C dock.

If that doesn't work, unfortunately I wouldn't know what the problem could be.

Hi:

In order to answer your question, I would need to know the full model number or product number of your notebook.

It is very possible that the USB-C port only supports data transfer.
