Greetings,

I just purchased a new HP EliteDisplay E273d  27 inch with Docking Monitor and have attempted to connected it to my Surface Pro 7 via USB C to USB A, or a USB A to a USB B and  it does seem to work it keeps saying  " monitor going to sleep Input Signal not found check video cable and video source" . On the quick guide that is stuck to the screen it shows some of the ways to connect would  be the options i have attempted.

Ive gone online and downloaded the compatible drivers from the HP site and i think that was meant to help in some way but its still not showing anything on the monitor. IS there anyone who has experienced this before and would know how to fix it?

I was worried i would buy a monitor that wasn't compatible with Surface pro so i had done my research and this was one of the displays that was recommended so i must be missing something here.

If i could please get your suggestions thanks!

Welcome to HP Community

I have gone through your Post and would like to help

To better understand the issue I would like to reconfirm few details

Are you connecting the monitor to the USB Type-C port on your Surface pro 7? Is that a USB Type -C Thunderbolt port which allows display?

Do you see a Thunderbolt symbol near the USB Type-C Port?

Have you tried connecting this monitor to a regular computer?

Keep me posted
