Hello,
I got a problem when I've tried to install the latest update of Intel® Graphics Driver for Windows* [15.40] (the latest update that my computer support, I have Intel Core i5-4200U processor) in the DSA. I got the error message: "Computer Manufacturer Graphics Driver Detected". I read about this on Intel's website and I understood that I can install the generic Intel Graphics Driver manually, but I should contact the computer manufacturer (HP) before, because there is a risk of losing functionality or causing other technical issues as they are not validated for the specific hardware configuration. Currently I have the version 20.19.15.5070, and I don't see that version in the history of all Intel Graphics Drivers over the years. So I have a couple of questions:
1. If I choose to download this driver, it should be safe and productive, or I need to stay with the version that I have now because of the warnings I've mentioned before?
2. What is the version 20.19.15.5070? Is it a version that HP released specifically? And who is responsible for releasing updates to this version from time to time, if any?
Regards and thanks in advance,
Naor.

Hi:
Your notebook has the AMD/Intel switchable graphics, which means it is not advisable to install any other graphics drivers than those listed on your notebook's support page.
https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03944490
Updating the Intel graphics driver to the latest version would most likely cause issues with the switchable graphics.
Since this is a peer to peer forum, no one here can answer your second question.
I highly doubt that HP will be releasing any updated drivers for your model notebook, but you can contact the HP executive team at the link below, and direct your question to them.
