I have a HP Envy 17-1181NR
there is a rubber parts around the edge of the display bezel that is starting to come off I don't see it listed in the parts section of the service manual and was wondering what part number for this around the edge of the my screen bezel and can I buy it or a alternate item I can use for replace it with or is it the whole display I will have to buy

Go here and enter your serial number and see if there is a part available. This is on older system and possibly no parts are available anymore. I was unable to find l17-1181 on ebay which is where one usually gets parts for older systems. Does not look good for you.

looking at the manual for parts says below so I guess it is a one piece unit ( was hoping as I have had this apart before)
