I have HP ENVY BANG & OLUFSEN Model: 17M-AE011DX with Windows 10 installed on it. I have this machine for few years, very slightly used. My touch pad is bothering me , it is very unstable. Sometime it is rigid, sometimes it is jumping on it's own and it is so much regularly happened that I can not work on this machine. Please guide how to fix it.

Thank you much for your help. I have followed your document few times but it did not fix the problem. It is very sporadic sometime it is so rigid that I can not even do a single click on mousepad. The Update Drivers is showing "Synaptics SMBus Clickpad". It is bothering so much that I had to use the external mouse to work on the machine. Seldomly it works fine as expected.
