Hi @hmza1093dx,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're noticing a small difference on the right side of your HP Victus screen, it could indicate a few possible issues. Here are some details and troubleshooting steps to narrow it down.

Possible Causes

  1. Display Panel Alignment: The screen may be slightly misaligned within the laptop casing.
  2. Backlight Bleeding: Uneven illumination, especially noticeable on dark screens.
  3. Physical Damage: A minor defect or stress point on the display.
  4. Driver or Software Issue: Display settings or driver problems affecting color or brightness.
  5. Hardware Defect: Manufacturing defect or damage during shipping.

Troubleshooting Steps

Inspect the Screen:

  • Turn off the laptop and shine a light on the display to check for physical irregularities.
  • Look for any uneven gaps between the screen and the bezel.

Test Display Behavior:

  • Restart your laptop and observe the screen during boot (before Windows loads) to determine if the issue persists.
  • Run a built-in display diagnostic test:
    • On boot, press F2 to enter diagnostics (HP UEFI diagnostics) and select "Display Test."

Check for Backlight Bleeding:

  • Open a dark background (e.g., black image) in full-screen mode and check if light spills unevenly from the edges, especially the right side.

Update Graphics Drivers:

  • Ensure that your laptop's GPU drivers are up to date. Visit the HP Support website or your GPU manufacturer's site (NVIDIA/AMD).

External Display Test:

  • Connect your laptop to an external monitor. If the issue doesn’t appear on the external screen, it’s likely a hardware issue with your laptop’s display.

Factory Reset:

  • Perform a factory reset to eliminate software-related problems (after backing up data).

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
