HP ENVY - 13-ah1507sa

my HP ENVY - 13-ah1507sa is around 8 months old and i recently bought it refurbished. With my time using it, i have discovered three dead pixels. Once i notice them my eyes just gravitate towards it and it becomes very bothersome.

 

I have 8 months of warrenty still left. will it be possible to send my laptop in for repair?

Yes! Definity if the product is under the Manufactures's warranty you can send the laptop in for repair.

 

I'll be glad to assist you with this issue, to provide you with an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:

 

Try connecting to a different monitor and check if you are facing the same issue.

Are you facing this issue after an update?

Have you tried any troubleshooting steps on your own?

 

Check if you are facing the same issue on the BIOS page.

 

Follow the below steps to boot into the BIOS page.

 

1. Turn on or restart the computer.

2. While the display is blank, press the f10 key to enter the BIOS settings menu.

 

Meanwhile, I suggest you download and run the HP Support Assistant from this Link: https://www8.hp.com/us/en/campaigns/hpsupportassistant/hpsupport.html?jumpid=va_r602_us/en/any/psg/p...

 

HPSA will automatically search for all the latest drivers for your Notebook

 

  1. Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.

    Click Updates in the My notebook pane

  2. Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.

     Updates list in HP Support Center

  3. Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.

  4. Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.

  5. Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.

Also, ensure Windows is up to date.

 

Select the Start button, and then go to Settings  > Update & security  > Windows Update, and select Check for updates. If Windows Update says your device is up to date, you have all the updates that are currently available

 

Restart your PC.

Hi,

 

Thank you for your response. I have tried all of the above and it seems to be a hardware issue. I have warranty left and I am looking to just hand it to HP to replace the display.
