I installed an Firefox update today and the ability to play browser based games has stopped. In tablet mode I cannot select or drag and drop objects. I use Firefox because it has never worked with Edge. Touch screen is working normally for everything else.

You might find more information at the Mozilla Community forum than here for Firefox - Firefox is a fiend for updates and things are always changing. In general, Mozilla knows more about what Firefox is doing.
And / Or
If you have not done so:
- Restart everything and log in.
- If you need Firefox 32bit and you installed Firefox 64bit, uninstall the 64bit version, then download and install the 32bit.
- Consider removing the current installation of Firefox and installing a previous version.
The Great and Wonderful Firefox Archives
For example, at this writing, this is where you find Firefox version 67, 64bit, for English / USA:
https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/67.0/win64/en-US/
Want a different version?
Back up and look at what's available:
https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/
And / Or
Firefox, as mentioned, changes things at a rapid clip - check at your game site to see if they need to update anything on their side.
And / Or
Might be permissions - Firefox changes security setups all the time to keep up with the "bad guys". Check to see the newer version has locked something that you previously had "open". No, I don't know what that would be.
And / Or
Clear your Cookies and Cache - this is a time honored and "quick" way to make sure everything is fresh and clean.

Thanks for your reply but the reason I have approached the HP forum is that the functionality is not working in any browser. As I said in my first post Edge has never worked, chrome did work for a while and firefox has just stopped. Firefox and Chrome still work on a dedicated tablet so this makes me believe the issue is with the laptop and not the browser. At a very uneducated guess I was wondering if the laptop was presenting the wrong useragent value to the browsers.
