Hi @Frank376,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like there could be a few reasons why your HP printer is producing blank pages. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try.
- Check Ink or Toner Levels: Make sure your ink or toner cartridges have enough ink or toner to print. If they're low or empty, replace them with new ones.
- Printer Heads: If you're using an inkjet printer, the printer heads might be clogged. Most printers have a utility for cleaning the printer heads. You can usually access this through the printer's settings menu on your computer.
- Paper Jam: Check for any paper jams in the printer. Even a small piece of paper stuck in the printer can cause printing issues.
- Printer Settings: Ensure that you've selected the correct paper size and type in the printer settings on your computer. Sometimes, if the settings are incorrect, the printer may not print properly.
- Driver Update: Make sure you have the latest printer drivers installed on your computer. You can usually download them from the HP website.
- Restart Printer: Try turning off the printer, unplugging it from the power source, waiting for a minute, and then plugging it back in and turning it on again. This can sometimes resolve temporary issues.
- Test Print: Print a test page from the printer itself. Most HP printers have a built-in option to print a test page directly from the printer's control panel. This can help determine if the issue is with the printer itself or with the connection to your computer.
- Check Connection: Ensure that the printer is properly connected to your computer or network. If it's a wireless printer, check the Wi-Fi connection.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, there may be a more complex problem with the printer.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
