My computer, the HP Envy x360 16 inch 2-in-1 laptop, has an automatic screensaver when I'm not sitting in front of the computer. Totally OK for me. But it seems that the processes are also taking a break – and I don't want that. I want to be able to put the computer down and not have to sit in front of it when it is doing a major job by itself and I do not have to sit in front of the computer. So how to fix it?

@PerSw, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
Disable or Adjust Sleep Settings
Press Windows + I to open Settings.
Go to System > Power & battery.
Under Power, click Screen and sleep (or expand it if it's collapsed).
Set these values:
On battery power, put my device to sleep after: Never
When plugged in, put my device to sleep after: Never
Turn Off Screen Saver (optional)
Press Windows + S, type Screen Saver, and open "Change screen saver".
In the Screen Saver Settings window:
Set Screen saver to (None).
Or leave it enabled if you like it — this doesn't pause your tasks, unless combined with sleep.
Uncheck "On resume, display logon screen" if you don’t want to log back in every time.
3. Prevent Hard Drive from Turning Off
Press Windows + S, type Edit power plan, and open it.
Click Change advanced power settings.
In the dialog that opens:
Expand Hard disk > Turn off hard disk after
Set both On battery and Plugged in to 0 (means Never).
Expand Sleep and make sure:
Sleep after = Never
Hibernate after = Never
Allow hybrid sleep = Off
I hope this helps.
Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.
Take care and have a good day.
