Dear HP Support,

We are currently preparing documentation IPS display technology.
For the model HP EliteBook 8 G1i 14-inch, the official QuickSpecs and support pages list the panel as “14-inch WUXGA (1920 × 1200), LCD, UWVA, Anti-Glare, WLED, 300 nits, Low Power”, but the word IPS is not explicitly mentioned.

Could you please provide us with an official confirmation or technical document that states whether UWVA (Ultra Wide Viewing Angle) corresponds to IPS technology in HP notebooks?
