Pavilion 25bw
macOS 10.15 Catalina

I have connected a Macbook Pro 2019 with HDMI to USB-C to my HP Pavilion 25bw monitor which I used with my previous Macbook with no issues. There is no resolution setting that works! All outer edges of the screen are cut off so I only see 1/3 of the dock and the top menu bar is not visible at all. I have tried every resolution possible and my corporate tech support couldn't help either. I saw another user's note from five months ago with the same problem. Has something been done about this? I would hate to have to ditch the monitor completely.

@EAcanda
Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,  I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:

  • Press the Menu button to open the OSD settings.
  • Scroll to "Image Control..." and press OK.
  • Select "Custom Scaling" and press OK.
  • Select "Overscan" and press OK.
  • Select "Off" and press OK.
  • Select "Save and Return" until the OSD menu closes

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
