My mother just bought a new HP w/touch screen and numeric keypad. However during the initial setup the keyboard without the numerical keypad was chosen so now her number keypad does not work. How do I change it so that she has use of the numeric (10 key) keypad.

Hi @KC5780,
Thanks for sharing the details.
There are a few ways to enable the numeric keypad on your HP 15-dy5113dx laptop:
1. Using the Fn Key:
- Look for a key on your keyboard that has a small picture of a numeric keypad on it. This key is usually located near the top right corner of the keyboard.
- Press and hold the Fn key (usually located in the bottom left corner) and then press the numeric keypad key. This should activate the numeric keypad.
2. Using the BIOS Setup:
- Turn off your laptop.
- Press and hold the F10 key while turning on your laptop. This should enter the BIOS setup.
- Navigate to the Advanced or Keyboard section.
- Look for an option related to the numeric keypad or keyboard layout.
- Change the setting to enable the numeric keypad.
- Save the changes and exit the BIOS setup.
3. Using the Windows Settings:
- Open the Control Panel.
- Go to Hardware and Sound.
- Click on Keyboard.
- Go to the Advanced tab.
- Check the box next to Use Num Lock as a separate cursor control key.
- Click OK.
If none of these methods work, you may need to contact HP support for further assistance.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
