Hi @Rudymil,
Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A great place where you can find solutions for your issues with help from the community! I came across your post and wanted to assist you. I understand you are having issues with the graphics card drivers on your HP notebook. Don't worry as I have a few suggestions which should help you resolve this issue.
To provide you with an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:
Did this happen after a windows or software update?
Did you uninstall and reinstall the video drivers for your card?
Let's try to uninstall the display drivers on your PC from Device manager
Right-Click on start button> click device manager> expand display adapters>then select the display drivers that are listed and right-click on it and uninstall the drivers.
Check the box that states delete the software for this device.
Next thing, I would suggest here is to install the drivers from the manufacturer's website, using this link: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/detect.html
I would suggest please update the BIOS and Chipset drivers on your PC from our HP Support website, using this link.
Also, download and install HP support assistant on your PC. It should automatically download and install the latest updates and drivers for your PC.
Refer this link to know how to use HP support assistant.
Let me know how that pans out,
Feel free to post your query for any other assistance as well,
It's been a pleasure interacting with you and I hope you have a good day ahead.
If you wish to show appreciation for my efforts, mark my post as Accepted Solution.

Hello and thank you for these advices.
I want to clarify that I am in a context of reinstalling Windows 7, the original operating system.
So, indeed I didn't know the Intel Support Software. I tried it but without succes. It proposes me any update or driver.
Of course I knew the HP Support Software wich allows me to download and install only 4 drivers (USB 3.0, Wireless, Graphic Card 3000, Beats Audio).
In addition, I know also this web site : https://support.hp.com/fr-fr/drivers/selfservice/hp-pavilion-dv6-6b00-entertainment-notebook-pc-seri... where we can find every drivers for my device.
But concerning my problem about VGA and SM drivers, I don't know which one to choose and I'm afraid to make a mistake.
If you may advise me...

Hi @Rudymil,
Thank you for replying,
I understand you have followed the steps suggested and still having the issue. Don't worry as I have a few suggestions which should help you resolve this issue.
Let's try to uninstall the display drivers from device manager and once done, after restart, I would suggest here is to reinstall the drivers from recovery manager, using this link: HP PCs - Using Recovery Manager to Restore Software and Drivers (Windows 7)
If the issue persists, I would suggest you could try to perform a test on the graphics card from F2 (Please capture the failure ID for further assistance).
If the test fails, this clearly indicates a hardware failure. I would recommend you contact our HP phone support for further assistance.
If the test passes, I would suggest you to perform a system recovery using the partition available on your PC.
perform a complete system recovery to factory settings from this link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c01867418 and follow the option “Recovery when Windows 7 does not start correctly”
Please perform all these steps patiently as it is critical to resolving the issue. The trick is to remain patient, please. Please note that I am not overloading you with a lot of troubleshooting steps.
Instead, just like you, I am eager to ensure that the problem gets resolved. So I am providing you with more resources and information at your disposal to deal with the situation better.
Hope this helps. Let me know how this goes. I genuinely hope the issue gets resolved without hassles and the unit works great.
To simply say thanks, please click the "Thumbs Up" button to give me a Kudos to appreciate my efforts to help. If this helps, please mark this as “Accepted Solution” as it will help several others with the same issue to get it resolved without hassles.
Take care now and have a superb week ahead.

Good news... I succeed to fix the driver about the SM bus Controller.
All I had to do was download the Intel Chipset : http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp55001-55500/sp55095.exe
That is a first thing.
So, concerning the Standard VGA Graphic Card... I'm afraid to remove the Intel HD Graphics 3000 driver. I think it's two different and separated Graphic Cards.
Do you think I can post on the Intel forum my request with the IDs of my device to uptade ? Or a driver proposed here is adapted : https://support.hp.com/fr-fr/drivers/selfservice/hp-pavilion-dv6-6b00-entertainment-notebook-pc-seri...

Hi @Rudymil,
I'm glad to hear you found the solution you were looking for, however, you still have a concern with the standard VGA graphics card. Don't worry we'll work together to find a solution for you.
As you see in the Device manager, you have 2 drivers listed under Display drivers, this could be due to Switchable graphics, to know more about switchable graphics please go through this link: HP Notebook PCs - Overview of Switchable Graphics or Dual GPUs
After reviewing your post, I did go through the product specifications and found that you have Intel 2670QM Processor installed which comes with the Intel HD 3000 integrated graphics card which is actually detected in the device manager.
The other card which is not getting detected is the AMD Radeon HD 6490M (1 GB DDR5 dedicated. So I would suggest here is to download AMD Auto Detect tool from the AMD website and save it on your desktop.
Now uninstall the graphics driver and then restart the PC, once done please click on the file to install the AMD drivers for your PC.
I hope this should do the trick. Let me know how it goes for further assistance.
Let me know if those steps worked for you.
If they did, that’s awesome!
Give us some reinforcement by clicking the solution and kudos buttons,
That’ll help us and others see that we’ve got the answers!
Good Luck.
