HP Notebook - 15-ay010ne (ENERGY STAR)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi All,

I understand in this testing period of Corona Pandemic, that, responses get delayed. Request you to have a look at these issues.

Product Name: HP Notebook - 15-ay010ne (ENERGY STAR)
Product Number: X3M81EA#ABV

I faced some issues with Touchpad/Keyboard/Playing Video and I did a "Windows Reset - Clean Install". Below are the steps i have taken to install/update Graphics Driver.

  1. After having a search in the community (which says switchable has both AMD & INTEL Drivers) i had tried installing only the AMD/INTEL Switchable Driver, but my INTEL Driver still have the "Mircosoft Basic Display Adapter".
  2. HP Recovery Manager - under "Drivers and Applications Reinstall" has:

AMD/INTEL Switchable Graphics Driver (Version: 15.301.2211.0)
INTEL High Definition(HD) Graphics Driver (Version: 20.19.15.4390)

After installing (first the INTEL and then AMD) drivers from HP Recovery Manager, and updated:

# "Windows Update" updates INTEL Graphics Driver to Version: 25.20.100.6518 (1/9/2019), "HP Support Assistant" doesn't have any Update for this.
# "HP Support Assistant" updates AMD Graphics Driver to Version: 22.19.128.5 (5/17/2017), "Windows Update" doesn't have any Update for this.

I would like to know:

- Am I following the right way in installing the Graphics Drivers, Can you please direct me with the correct procedure and the links to the software packs.
- Currently the INTEL Driver looks a generic one and AMD from HP, will these work hand in hand?
- Do i required to rollback and stop Windows from installing the INTEL Generic Driver?

Thank You,
Stay Home, Stay Safe.

@ultrak,

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are facing issues installing the graphics driver.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

I would like to inform you that you can install any driver first and there is no fixed procedure for the same.

I recommend you download and install the latest Intel driver from the below link and check whether the issue is resolved.

Hi

Thanks for your reply. The links show multiple drivers for AMD and INTEL Graphics cards. Confused with which one should I use? I am having both AMD and INTEL cards, mine is Intel Skylake device, and running on Windows 10 x64 v1909.

Can you please direct me to the appropriate display driver combination for the system.

Thanks and Regards.
