ESIF(1.0.11703.1936) TYPE: ERROR MODULE: IPF TIME 5782364 ms The Intel(R) Dynamic Tuning Technology (DTT) driver cannot load because the installed version of Intel(R) Innovation Platform Framework (IPF) that it depends on is too old. Hi @AndersG,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

I Understand your concern and don’t worry let me help you with this.

From the error, it looks like the DTT driver is failing because the Intel® Innovation Platform Framework (IPF) version installed is older than what DTT requires. Essentially, the driver is looking for IPF version 1.0.11904 or newer, but your system currently has 1.0.11703.

To help you further, could you let me know:

  • The exact HP model you’re using (laptop/desktop).
  • Which operating system version you’re on (Windows 11 build, for example).
  • Whether the external screens are connected via HDMI, DisplayPort, USB-C, or a docking station.

Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try in the meantime:

  • Check HP Support Assistant: Run HP Support Assistant to see if there are any pending driver or firmware updates that may not appear on the HP page you checked.
  • Update Intel Drivers: Visit Intel’s official driver & HP support page https://support.hp.com/ and look specifically for the Intel Innovation Platform Framework update. Sometimes Intel releases newer versions before HP Firmware package them.
  • Windows Update: Make sure optional updates are installed, Windows Update often pushes newer Intel components under “Optional updates.”
  • Uninstall/Reinstall DTT: In Device Manager, you can try uninstalling the Intel Dynamic Tuning driver, then rebooting. Windows may automatically reinstall a compatible version.
  • BIOS Update: Check if your HP model has a BIOS update available, as BIOS updates often include compatibility fixes for Intel drivers

I hope this helps.

The support assistant appears to have fixed it. But what was confusing was that the regular support page, after identifying the machine did NOT suggest any updates. Moreover was the detected OS shown as a broken link. It is Win11 pro 25H2 though. Machine is an HP Elite x360 1040 14 inch G11 2-in-1 Notebook PC (8Y1Q0AV) that unfortunately has been a lot less solid than the old HP EliteBook x360 1030 G4 Notebook PC.

So what I finally did was to run the support assistant and let it download and update all that it wanted. Core issue must have been that MS had pushed down an incompatible update.

Issues remain though, even after having updated all drivers and the error messages are gone from the event viewer. Running say Teams causes the screen to flicker and the explorer bar in the bottom of the screen goes away and reappears.
