Avoided may be a better thing they are doing. Intel is offering run-around statements when you go to them including asking for a screen shot of the trouble and processor type. When given all that is offered is a link to look at more useless patches. I tried their suggestions and none worked. The larger issue is with Microsoft updates to win 10 being pushed the problem is now getting worse. I have noticed resets on plain web screen shots including Facebook displays.
As for HP, do you see any of their people offering any advise here as they did months ago. This is not just an HP problem so don't look for HP to do anything except stall. As suggested before the fix may be hardware and the cost would be high especially if the chip set is built into the mother board and would require replacement. I just don't understand why the PC makers are not up in arms with Microsoft and Intel.

I have gotten a few updates over the last 3-4 weeks. I don't always know who is pushing the updates and I am not smart enough to find out. What has happened is that the Microsoft Solitaire games that were locking up work perfectly fine. Funny thing is that Freecell worked but Pyramid would trip the 'oh **bleep**' message for the Intel driver.
Right now Excel has locked up. This is NO BUENO! Before it did not effect my work. This does! How can I escalate this ? I think it is time to step on some toes.

HP will not do anything to solve this problem they see it as a Microsoft issue and have done since day 1:

Unfortunately, we really cannot expect HP to rollout a new driver every single time Microsoft provides an update.
So I guess our energy would be better spent Lobbying Microsoft to get this problem escilated. Hopefully they know of the issue and are working on a fix in the next update

I experience the Display Driver error when using Microsoft's Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), so it's not an issue exclusively associated with games. I suppose that Microsoft COULD release a statement that Office is incompatible with Windows 10 and Intel HD drivers.
As customers, we should use every opportunity to let others know that these products do not play well together.

Lotsa luck with Microsoft stating they have any issues with the win10 release. I would think with all the computer manufactures having issues with the video displays drivers from Intel they would be on either Microsoft or Intel to get it fixed. As I said before if this is related to chip sets on the computers and only a replacement will fix the problems then Intel must see this as a problem they have to deny, deny, deny ( aka Hillary and Benqhazi) or end up with a big expense. As for Microsoft fixing the compatability with Intel chips, forget it. Microsoft thinks they are infallible and can do no wrong so the fools just ignore any complaints.
Not a good situation for anyone at this point.

Certainly not all about gaming...I too, notice other aspects being affected, watching movies, etc...
Tsac, seems to be going down the path that this is more of a hardware issue, as it is my understanding that the 4600 is soldered to the board and not interchangeable.
The last Windows 10 / 1511 update did not include any solution for our concern - realising that there could be a degree of 'kicking of the can', I do have some optimism because Microsoft has been releasing 1511 updates frequently over the past couple of months.
Summarising, this is certainly out of our hands at this point, though I applaud those that continue to seek a solution.
Personally, I think I will hold out through May, at that point, I will likely boil over and start considering a new computer, ugh!

I just posted this at a Microsoft support site.
Intel HD 4600 Graphics driver stopped responding and recovered after Windows 10 1511 upgrade
Dear Microsoft,
The listed issue has been in for months and is seen on most computers from most manufacturers.
The display of graphics causes the reset of the drivers and in most cases a reset of the program or web site is needed. In some cases it simply redisplays. With each update from Windows 10 the problem seem to be increasing.
The excuses for a fix are numerous and Intel keeps pointing to Microsoft and based on the issue getting worse after numerous upgrades automatically downloaded by Windows 10 software it seem neither company have a solution. We are not stupid and realize if this is a chip issue and Microsoft cannot address it and Intel must with a hardware fix the cost will be high. To simply ignore the problem and hope it will go away is not what is expected from Microsoft. A simple statement on what the two companies are doing to address the problem will help . Intel keeps stating their engineers are surely looking at the issue but will not specifically state they are leads people to think run-around.
Any response will be appreciated.
