Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I'm experiencing display brightness flickering from time to time. It usually have to increase the brightness to fix this temporarily. This has been there for a while. My current BIOS is F.61. Serial number:8CG64918MX, Product number:W0U47AV.

Display flickering is nearly always a sign of the screen failing.

 

You need to connect an external monitor to the laptop.

If the visual artifacts also appear on the monitor, then it is a failing video chip and since those are soldered to the motherboard, they are not replaceable.

If the visual artifacts do NOT appear on the monitor, then it is a failing laptop screen. While those can be replaced, the cost varies enormously by individual PC model.
