HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop - 16-a0032dx

Hi so my laptop screen has a black light bleed in the corner (it is getting worse). It’s kind of yellow but it glows quite a lot when the screen is dark. I just bought it over a year ago and I have not done anything to prompt the bleed. I am scared it will bleed more and more and I do not have money to fix it.

My question is, can I still get a new laptop or replacement from HP due to this issue? It has been about a year and a month since I got it which means my warranty is over, but I think I read somewhere that if a product of defective (in the US) I can be entitled to a replacement regardless of warranty. Though I am not sure if a screen bleed is considered as a defect.

I know it only affects the aesthetics, but considering I am a broke college student who got this laptop as a splurge because I thought it would be reliable (for school and games), I am highly upset.

(I posted this question from a different account however I did not connect my email and could not see responses)
