Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Out of the blue this August, my lovely touchscreen laptop started acting up - specifically, the pointer would start clicking on things in the taskbar on its own esp, at the start.  But last night, it officially lost it and started enlarging, reducing, opening and closing things like an angry ghost.  So here here I am.  So far, I've installed the touchpad driver HP recommended - didn't make an impact.  I also disconnected the touchscreen and am wondering if that'll do anything. I have Norton on here so I feel like I'm operating in a space space.

This laptop is 3 years old and isn't doing anything crazier that Office stuff, iTunes and vanilla websites.  Looking at comments, it seems like a recent Windows upgrade screwed things up and HP hasn't caught up in terms of solutions.  I don't love not being able to use the touchscreen I paid extra for but I'm also creeped out by the pointer constantly trying to hit the taskbar, along with flying around the screen.  If anyone has similar experiences or has MacGyver-ed a solution, I'd love to hear it.  Also, HP, please find a fix because I'm not down with paying for a new laptop when this one should be working perfectly.
