HP Spectre x360 Laptop - 15-eb0043dx

Hello - I have a friend who is remote and I would like to repair his screen. How do I know if this laptop has a LED, or OLED display? I have the serial number, but HP's website doesn't provide the type of display associated with his laptop. Any help would very much be appreciated. Thank you. He sent me a snapshot of his laptop info: 15 - EB0043DHP X360 15.6 IN ULTRA HD TOUCH-SCREEN L.

FROM HP SPECS: 15.6" diagonal 4K UHD, IPS, micro-edge, WLED-backlit, multitouch-enabled, edge-to-edge glass with anti-reflection Corning® Gorilla® Glass NBT™, 340 nits, 72% NTSC (3840 x 2160)

Hi @supercell

It is an LED display, the OLED is as follows:

15.6 in, organic light-emitting diode (OLED), ultra high-deƭnition (UHD) (3840×2160), brightview,
active-matrix organic light-emitting diode (AMOLED), UWVA, eDP+PSR, 100% DCI-P3, AR,
ultraslim, direct bonded touchscreen display panel with narrow bezel; typical brightness:
400 nits

Thank you!

I wish HP simply stated that it was an LED.  From the link you provided it shows LCD, but also does show WLED. Of the three types of displays listed within the link you provided, the nits from the bottom description match the HP specs for the HP model I am referring to, so this must be the one, but, again, how do you know this is an LED?

LED or WLED (White LED) is not a panel itself, but a backlighting technology for LCD monitors, one of the differences is that the WLEDs are bright immediately and the LEDs take a few seconds longer.
