I want to connect my 2 monitor screens that I used with my desktop to my work laptop.
Is the HP Thunderbolt Dock 230W G2 compatible with the HP Pavillion 14-ce3606sa laptop?

If you wish to have 2 or more external monitors (and notebook monitor - total 3), please enter your requirement on the following link and it will find for you few USB-A DisplayLink Certified options on market today including some HP products (you can select HP before Search)

I bought an old and cheapy dock on eBay. It works perfectly for 3 monitors (2 externals + machine itself)

It is not going to work. The USB-C port on your machine does NOT support DP/DP/HDMI therefore it is NOT compatible with that dock
