17-cb0005na
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi Community!

I was hoping to get some clarity regarding the model in the title of this thread.

The datasheet shows a 144Hz monitor but does not explicitly state if it is G-SYNC certified. A similar model (OMEN by HP 17-cb0006na) explicitly indicates that its 144Hz monitor is G-SYNC certified. I was wondering if the datasheet and weblink to the former inadvertently missed out this information, or if the 17-cb0005na is indeed not G-SYNC certified/compatible.

Many thanks!

When I received this model, it did not have G-SYNC. We did some troubleshooting and concluded that while the graphics card does support G-SYNC, the screen does not. If you need G-SYNC on your screen, do not buy this laptop, unless you connect an external monitor to it. Hope this helped anyone else wondering about this.

I have contacted HP Technical Support and they confirmed that the screen on this model is indeed G-SYNC compatible.
