I've tried the J5createUSB Type-C to 4k HDMI along with an HDMI but can only get 1 monitor to display on the HDMI cable connected to the laptop HDMI port. I really want 2 monitors plus laptop screen if possible and would be happy to buy some kind of docking station or adapter to get it to work. Thanks!
At Best Buy they told me that this laptop does not support multiple external monitors.
Thanks for any help you can provide!

The specs of your machine is
https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c06152880
It has
- 1 USB 3.1 Type-C™ Gen 1 (Data Transfer up to 5 Gb/s);
- 2 USB 3.1 Gen 1 (Data transfer only);
- 1 HDMI 1.4b. 1 RJ-45;
- 1 headphone/microphone combo
The USB-C port does not support Alt mode therefore you can ONLY use HDMI port for external monitor.
If you wish, please enter your requirement and it will find for you the one you need on market today including some HP products:

Thanks for the prompt response! Is there a docking station that might support dual monitors or is that not possible? Thanks again! Otherwise what model laptop would you recommend that is similar to mine except that it would support dual external monitors + the laptop display? I appreciate your advice!

I found a docking station
Wavlink Model WL-UG39DK1 that I think may work but wanted to check with you.
It attaches to the laptop using the USB 3.0 port (not the USB-C port)
However the specs on the docking station say that the computer needs to support USB Alt Mode with DP.
Since it attaches thru the USB 3.0 port and not the USB-C port, do you think that will work? Or does my laptop not support USB Alt mode on ANY USB ports?
Thanks very much!
PS. Is there ANY docking station that attaches thru the HDMI port on the laptop that would provide 2 monitor support (in EXTENDED mode, not Duplicated)?
Thanks again!
