Hi..

I just open my laptop for cleaning. I noticed that the battery is little bit swollen. It is barley visible. I attached some photos.

 

 

 

 

The battery still operating perfectly like day one, Also windows battery report says thay capacity is around 95%.

I read like it is normal for those batteries to have little bit of swelling over time.

I just need to confirm that it is safe to continue using this battery.

Laptop is out of warranty.

Hi:

 

See this link from HP regarding battery swelling and other battery care practices.

 

Leaving the battery at a constant 100% charge rate ( and having the A/C adapter plugged in 100% of the time), may lead to battery swelling.
