Hello, I have a cracked HP Envy x360 laptop, because of this the touch screen doesn't anymore, coupled with that my battery is totally gone. The laptop goes off as soon as power is interrupted or switched off from the power source. The audio is not very audible as well. Can I sort this all out and what's the process for this. Thanks

I feel the same way about mine. I came here yesterday looking for help because a Windows Update made my machine fail to boot up properly afterwards and the laptop didn’t progress far enough along the startup routine to load the drivers needed for my external monitor to display anything, so I was blind trying to do recovery. I came across a solution that said that the laptop would project to an external display if the laptop screen was disconnected from the motherboard. I did so (and broke one of the motherboard cable seats in the process) and I’m trying Windows Recovery now with my external monitor.
During my explorations yesterday, I came across several manuals for how to work on different models of Envy x360. Some by HP are in video form in YouTube, so search there. IFixIt also has some good tutorials; search with your model number. According to IFixIt, a new battery is just short of $50 and a new display (just the glass part; not the back panel) goes for a similar amount. I don’t know how current those prices are, but finding the pieces and doing the work yourself is an option. My laptop cost just over $600 in 2015, with an i7 CPU, 12GB RAM, and 1 TB of storage capacity. I paid over $300 to a local shop the first time my LCD screen decided to malfunction and display poorly, yet the repair lasted for just over a year and my screen has been dark since then. Getting parts and doing the work myself may be an option for me, as long as I have a new working PC for daily use and experiment repairing my x360 when it is now a backup machine. Getting the same model laptop on eBay and cannibalizing parts may be a very economical way for you to fix your Envy by yourself. Good luck.
