Hi @Vk119,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
Thank you for the image — it clearly shows that your HP PC has encountered a BIOS recovery error, with the message: "The BIOS recovery file cannot be found or the file is corrupted."
This means the system tried to automatically recover the BIOS but could not find the necessary recovery files on the internal storage or USB.
Step-by-Step: Create BIOS Recovery USB
- Go to the HP Drivers Page:
➡️ Official HP® Drivers and Software Download | HP® Support - Search for your exact product (e.g. HP Omen 17-cmxxxx or whichever model you have).
- Under the BIOS section, download the latest BIOS version (look for the .exe file).
- Run the downloaded BIOS file on the working PC.
- When prompted, choose to Create Recovery USB.
- Insert a USB drive (at least 8 GB, formatted in FAT32).
- The tool will copy the correct BIOS files to the USB.
- Once completed, safely eject the USB.
Step 2: Use the BIOS Recovery USB on the Problem PC
- Plug the BIOS recovery USB into your non-working HP laptop.
- Press and hold Windows + B, then press and hold the Power button for about 2–3 seconds, then release the Power button but keep holding Windows + B.
- The BIOS recovery should begin. You'll see a screen showing “HP BIOS Update”.
✅ If successful, your system will restore the BIOS and restart normally.
I hope this helps.
Take care, and have an amazing day!
