My Second HP laptop. Occasionally my keys 1,2,3 do not work. My old HP laptop had same issues with keys 1-3 and 6-9 not working. with old one issue was permanent. keyboard has to be replaced once or twice on old. this new HP still has factory keyboard but I am afraid its again time to change keyboard. Can you pass this to on-site maintenance. Should keyboard be changed? Why HP keyboards keep breaking? I have not had any issues with other brand laptop keyboads.

HP keyboards aren't inherently "breaking" more than others. If it's under warranty, you can get it replaced. If not, decide whether you want to replace it or not. Remember, laptop built-in keyboards aren't that durable. I personally always use an external keyboard for gaming and everyday work. Only unplug it if you're traveling

This is very valuable information. I wanted to know if there were anything special about my use. I type only with laptop keybopard and some keyboard caps even wear off after 3 years. I just have to accept the fact that laptop keyboard are not as durable as laptop itself and needs replacing every 2-3 years or mainly I should use external. Luckily I still have warranty - so time again for a new keyboard.
