HP Pavilion x360 15.6 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 15-er0000 (31F79AV)

I recently upgraded my Pavilion x360 by putting an M.2 so that the OS could boot from there, After installing Windows 10 everything seemed to be fine until I turned the screen to use it in Tablet Mode as before, it automatically turned on and the keyboard was disabled. But now you have to put it manually in tablet mode and when I do the keyboard stays activated making it impossible to use because the keys are pressed and interfere with what it is doing on the screen and when I turn the laptop the content of the screen does not turn with it as it used to do before.

I already tried to download all the drivers .

Hi  @Alexis_0615,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

I can understand your concern, don’t worry let me help you with this.

Could you kindly confirm the below details :

  1. Did these issues start immediately after the clean installation of Windows on the new M.2 SSD?
  2. Does the screen rotate automatically when Auto-Rotate is enabled in Windows Settings?
  3. Do you see any unknown devices or warning symbols in Device Manager?
  4. When you fold the screen all the way back, does the keyboard remain active all the time, or only in certain positions?

In the meantime, kindly try the below steps and confirm :

1. Check the Auto-Rotate Setting  (Link for steps and about the Switch between tablet and desktop modes - Click here )

  • Go to Settings - System - Display.
  • Verify that Rotation Lock is turned Off.
  • Rotate the device and check whether the screen orientation changes automatically.

2. Verify Sensor Devices in Device Manager

  • Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
  • Expand Sensors and System Devices.
  • Look for items such as:
    • Intel Integrated Sensor Solution
    • HID Sensor Collection
    • Sensor Monitoring Service
  • If any are missing or show errors, let us know.

Since this behaviour started after a clean Windows installation, it is possible that a sensor, chipset, or HP-specific driver required for automatic tablet mode detection was not installed correctly.

I hope this helps.

I'm an HP Employee.
