Hi @keyboarfd

Welcome to the HP Support Community! Thanks for posting your query!

We're here to help you get back up and running.

I understand—keyboard and touchpad problems can be disruptive, and before we jump into solutions, it’s important to carefully isolate what’s happening. Let’s gather some details so we can narrow down the cause.

Could you share a bit more about:

  • The exact HP product model you’re using (for example, HP Envy x360, HP Pavilion, etc.).
  • What specifically isn’t working—are certain keys unresponsive, is the entire keyboard inactive, or is the touchpad not responding at all?
  • Do you see any error messages in Windows, or does Device Manager show warnings for the keyboard/touchpad?
  • Has this issue started after a recent update, driver installation, or software change?
  • Does the keyboard work in BIOS (before Windows loads), or only fail once Windows has started?
  • Are you using Windows 11, and if so, which version (21H2, 22H2, etc.)?

With these details, we’ll be able to determine whether the issue is hardware, driver, or software related and then move forward with the most effective troubleshooting path.

Regards,
