Product: HP ENVY 17.3 inch Laptop PC 17-ch0000 IDS Base Model
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11
Hi all,
The backlight on my Envy laptop's keyboard is broke ... I can see the LED's under the keys although some are very dim, but they don't have enough intensity to light up the letters. The toggle key will turn the backlight on-dim-off-on in sequence, but none of the settings give enough light to see the letters in a dark room. The left side of the keyboard is brighter than the right side.
The laptop is (of course) of of warranty; is there a repair option worth checking out? How easy is it to get to the back of this keyboard; it looks like the whole front cover has to come off.
Or is it time for just another upgrade?
Thanks for any insight!
