My notebook's keyboard does not work in airplane mode. It works fine otherwise. Once F12 is pressed and the system goes into airplane mode, the keyboard no longer works until flight mode is disabled using the mouse/touchpad from the taskbar.

I did the following:

Reinstalled windows

Updated BIOS

Installed HP Wireless button driver

Updated Chipset driver

Nothing works.

@KShaw Due to the current global COVID-19 situation, we're seeing an influx of customers coming in for support and we appreciate your patience.

That said, did you check if an external keyboard works fine?

When was the last time it worked without these issues?

Meanwhile, I have a few recommendations to assist you:

  • Restore the BIOS to default,
  • Check if an external keyboard works fine when the Airplane mode is turned on
(To determine if this is a hardware or software related issue).

Please respond to the above queries to obtain an accurate fix,

Eager to help!
