Hi @furkan03,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help you!

If your Victus by HP 16.1 keyboard is moving as if there is space underneath, it could be due to several reasons such as loose screws, improper seating of the keyboard, or an issue with the keyboard itself. Here are some steps to diagnose and possibly fix the issue:

Check for Loose Screws:

  • Turn off your laptop and disconnect it from any power source.
  • Carefully flip the laptop over and check for any loose or missing screws on the bottom panel. Tighten any loose screws and ensure all screws are present.

Reseat the Keyboard:

  • If you're comfortable with opening your laptop, you can try reseating the keyboard. This involves removing the bottom panel and gently adjusting the keyboard to ensure it's properly seated.
  • Follow a disassembly guide specific to your laptop model to avoid damaging any components. If you're unsure, it's best to seek professional help.

Inspect the Keyboard Mounting:

  • Check if the keyboard mounting points are intact. If any clips or mounts are broken, the keyboard may move when typing. In this case, replacing the keyboard may be necessary.

Check for Debris:

  • Sometimes debris or dust can get underneath the keyboard, causing it to feel loose. Use a can of compressed air to clean under the keys and around the keyboard area.

Keyboard Replacement:

  • If the keyboard continues to move despite the above steps, it may be defective and require replacement. Contact HP phone support or an authorized service center to get a replacement keyboard installed.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
