While typing, the keyboard stops to work. Randomly. Only restarting make it works again. I've got the impression that it happens when keeping pressing a key. I tried UEFI, uninstall, reinstall drivers, updating softwares. With an external keyboard works properly. What could it be? What can I do?

Same here. sometimes twice an hour. The only workarond is to use external keybaord - I'd like to SOLVE it instead. Yes, this issue seems both 'rife', and very 'ripe' (unresolved for a long time!) . I am looking for a fix. maybe we can work together and solve this in 2024 - post your solutions /results of suing these tips .
"the internet" suggests its very common, for me its a NEW HP Envyx360 it keeps happening, twice in one evening. apparently software. for me ALL keys dont work. resetting the computer works only temporarily. and is a hassle.
Two tricks I found ont he web web:
trick 1 one is hold down BOTH "ctrl" keys at the same time. this helps when the keyboard is acting as if the ctrl key is stuck (but its not its an HP software glitch)
trick 2 You could try STEP5, HP suggests deleting the driver which HO will reintall it for you on boot up.

I am about to do it to see if it hels. Device Manager tells me I have LOTS of keyboards installed 3 when nothing in plugged in and 7 when I have it docked, so many that is what caused a conflict or freeze. I will report back if it worked...
if you want to check the hardware is working try this but it is hect to useless, depending on keyboard layout
hardware test
2 methods:
1. HP PC Hardware diagnostics prgram laoded on your laptop., search for it in the cortona bar.
2. If you hold down the power button for 60 seconds trick - that brings diagnostics screen. try the KEYBOARD test, but its so ancient keybaord layout for laptops arent fully supported (HP laptops lack an 'Ins' (insert) key, so you cant even complete the hardware test of the keybaord. HP ! fix this
