Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
  • Windows 10 64 - HP  elitebook 840G10
  • DOCK - HP thunderbolt 120W G4
  • monitors - 2x LG 27UP600 manufactured Feb 2024
  • cables DisplayPort 1.4

I have two monitors connected via the Dock to my laptop. When I connect the dock initially the setup runs, the monitors turn on and everything looks good. When I lock the screen, the monitors enter power saving mode. IF i unlock the computer and sign back in, the moitors do get connected and turns on(I can see them in the display setting and device manager, even the display order and everything is the way they should be) but the screens won't display anything. It looks like the screen keep alternating between dark black and a lighter (almost like backlit).

If I hold the monitor power and force turn off. Then turn on again, it displays my extended screen instantly. Same way i can pull the power input from the back the of the monitor and plug back in which will also instantly bring the display back on.

If anyone got similar issues or know a solution/suggestion please let me know thanks!!

I installed the latest firmware 1.5.24.0 Rev.C - I tested where I put the laptop to sleep waited until the monitors entered into power saving mode. Then after a couple of minutes, I logged into the computer and the screens came out of power saving and was displaying without any issues just as expected.

I tried the same laptop and monitors but using an Asus SimPro Dock 2 and everything works like a charm.
