Good day!
I need help on my HP Pavilion 15-CCC007NX, just bought Sept-03-2017,
Althought it is not a Gaming Laptop but It should run DOTA 2 and Diablo 3 smoothly on very low setting.
Base on my observation, when my laptop runs on battery mode my gaming experience is bit lag, but when i plug the AC adapter it's super lag.
I already reset on factory reset.
I did update the NVIDIA via HP Support Assistant and also in Device Manager,
I set NVIDIA as default graphic,
I set the power on performance mode,
but still laggy, what else should I do?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Accepted Solutions

Hey there! @Jayson_24, Thanks for stopping by the HP Support Forums!
I understand when you play games on your laptop the game keeps lagging.
Don't worry I'll try to help you out.
Did you make any hardware or software changes on your PC?
I appreciate your efforts for trying out the steps before reaching out to us.
Please provide the product number of your PC to assist you better.
As you mentioned your laptop lags or freezes while playing games.
Try updating the BIOS, Graphics driver and chipset driver on your PC and check if it helps.
You can try updating the drivers using HP support assistant.
Refer this article to know more information about using HP support assistant.
If the issue still persists after trying out the steps try the steps recommended below.
Right-click your desktop background and select NVIDIA Control Panel. You can also find this tool by performing a Start menu (or Start screen) search for NVIDIA Control Panel or by right-clicking the NVIDIA icon in your system tray and selecting Open NVIDIA Control Panel.
To quickly set a system-wide preference, you could use the Adjust image settings with the preview option. For example, if you have old hardware that struggles to play the games you want to play, you may want to select “Use my preference emphasizing” and move the slider all the way to “Performance.” This trades graphics quality for an increased frame rate.
By default, the “Use the advanced 3D image settings” option is selected. You can select Manage 3D settings and change advanced settings for all programs on your computer or just for specific games. NVIDIA keeps a database of the optimal settings for various games, but you’re free to tweak individual settings here. Just mouse-over an option for an explanation of what it does.
Refer this article to further troubleshoot lock up or freezing issues with PC.
If the solution provided worked for you, please mark accepted solution for this post.
