Laptop Battery

my laptop has been with me for 1 or 2 years. When we first bought it my sister can still play genshin impact. But for a short time played it. Then today i upgraded my RAM and I 12 Ram right now. My cousin more RAM because the laptop got slower even though it's an i7. Then i first tried to download league of legend I put it in a high graphics when I was just playing the tutorial. It began to shut down evenn though battery was not low. Ask it about my cousin and he told me to try and play in low graphics to see if the laptop will get hot just like before. So then it got hot but not that super hot. So he told me he will clean the fan since there were dusts. So after he cleaned it I asked if it was okay to download genshin impact and he said yes. So I was downloading it with 100% then it was finished but I saw the battery got to 50 so then as i was trying to log in with my account it shut down. Ask my cousin abt this and he said I need to plug my laptop while playing since it was eating the power. But I did not do it since my sister said the battery will get damage. So is it okay to play game while my laptop is plug in?

Yes you can play game while laptop is plugged in. Actually it is best that the laptop be plugged in when gaming as there will be no limitation to the performance.

The battery will not be damaged. You can even leave the laptop plugged in all the time.
