Hi all,
I have a Laptop HP ENVY 17,3 pollici 17-ch1000 (436X1AV)
I'm having issues with the built camera
I have already tried to activate and disactivate the cam with the webcam kill switch or webcam shutter key
I am guessing the problem is the switch.
I already tried to reinstall Win11 and restore everthing from scratch or from zero - and nothing changed unfortunately.
I wasn't able to reinstall the driver since I could not find it anywhere, but i guess this would not solve the problem since I have already tried to reinstall from Win11.
whenever I try to activate the camera with the privacy switch, from device manager I noticed an "unknown usb device... " appears.
if I turn on the privacy switch, it disappears.
Any suggestion how to solve this?
Is this a HW problem so the camera needs to be changed?
